Welcome to professional Headshot retouching service

Welcome to my gallery

One common mistake I’ve often seen—even among experienced retouchers—is altering the subject’s skin tone. Surprisingly, some even include such work in their portfolios, despite this being a major red flag in the company I work for.

Maintaining the subject’s natural skin tone, color, and hue is absolutely essential. Any significant change in skin tone is not only unprofessional, but also disrespectful to the subject’s identity.

For example, if your client is an Indian actor or singer with a naturally deeper skin tone, you cannot lighten their complexion to resemble that of someone with fair skin—it’s simply inaccurate and inappropriate. This isn’t just a matter of aesthetics; it’s about representation, authenticity, and respect.

In today’s cultural and professional landscape, where diversity, equity, and inclusion are more important than ever, respecting someone's natural features is non-negotiable. People are rightfully sensitive to issues of representation and identity. Altering skin tone can be seen as an act of erasure or bias, which can damage both the client relationship and retoucher professional reputation.
